With the arrival of the new Microtel hotel with 70 rooms, rooms with a capacity of up to 450 people and modern sports facilities at the Mégantic Sports Center, the city of Lac-Mégantic and its region now have the infrastructure necessary for reception of businesses, associations and sports and social clubs. The city and the region are therefore part of the business tourism and conference network. It is in the form of a solidarity cooperative that Experience Business Mégantic markets its members’ offerings and ensures logistics during events and conferences. The cooperative's positioning is focused on sustainable development, already well anchored in the community by the Cittaslow international network of good living cities, the Micronetwork and the Mont-Mégantic International Dark Sky Reserve. A sustainable development charter has also been created for eco-responsible events.
