The heart of the first International Dark Sky Reserve
La Contrée du Massif is a non-profit organisation composed of locally elected representatives, citizens and entrepreneurs involved in their community that all work together to reinvigorate the economy of the villages of Chatierville, Hampden, La Patrie, Notre-Dame-des-Bois, Scotstown and Val-Racine.
Their goal is to enhance the villages around the Mont Mégantic, boost their local economy through tourism and through a network of small and medium-sized businesses while countering demographic issues.
