Saint-Daniel sector

This sector offers 86 campsites in a wooded setting, near the service and recreation areas.

You can choose from among 3 distinctive loop-access camping:

Baie aux Rats-Musqués campground (semi-serviced campsites)

The services offered less than one kilometre from the camping area include watercraft equipment rental, a shop, a mini convenience store, a children’s playground, a picnic area and an unsupervised sandy shore. Access to the bike path.

Baie des Sables campground (semi-serviced campsites)

The services offered on-site include a shelter for campers, a dumping station, and access to the hiking trails and bike path. About 7.5 km from the camping area, you will find watercraft equipment rental, a shop, a mini convenience store, a children’s playground, a picnic area and an unsupervised sandy shore.

Rivière-aux-Bluets campground (two-service camping area)

The services offered on-site include a shelter for campers, a dumping station and access to the hiking trails. Around 9 km from the camping area, you will find watercraft equipment rental, a shop, a mini convenience store, a children’s playground, a picnic area and an unsupervised sandy shore.

Several sites provide a view of Grand lac Saint-François and access to the water (sites with odd numbers of Baie aux Rats-Musqués campground - consult our Canoe and Snooze Package). These campground loops are accessible by car along the main road, but also by bicycle along Le Littoral trail.

Boat launch (ideal for power boats with a maximum size of 18 feet):

  • Saint-Daniel sector: Rang 2 boat lauch. This boat lauch is located in the park (access by Rang 2) at about 5 minutes from the Saint-Daniel sector park entrance. On-site parking.

  • Baie des Sables campground, Saint-Daniel sector

RV area

In addition to the campsites already set up for your recreational vehicle, Pointe-Saint-Daniel RV area offers sites designed specially for trailers and motorhomes. This RV area is completely open and unwooded with a gravel surface. It is recommended for self-reliant visitors because it is farther away from washroom facilities (toilet and shower). Check the characteristics to be sure it suits you.

Pilot project authorizing dogs on site in the park

A pilot project is in place, authorizing the presence of dogs in the park, in order to measure how visits and the natural environment might be affected. The pilot project will impact Rivière-aux-Bluets campground (except for ready-to-camp), Baie-des-Sables campground and Pointe-Saint-Daniel RV area. Applicable rules and authorized sites

Southern sector

On the other side of the park, the Southern sector offers a campground with 102 sites right on Baie Sauvage. The forest canopy is everywhere, and you’ll be in the midst of wilderness.  A short walk from your campsite is L’Escale, which offers a meeting place for departures on guided expeditions, boat rental, a Boutique Nature, and a mini-convenience store. The Baie Sauvage campground is accessible by car along the main road, but also by bicycle along Les Passereaux trail.

Also, be sure to check out the Lac Egan primitive campground (Southern sector) where 3 platforms await you in a lovely natural setting. Privacy and tranquillity guaranteed!  These sites can be accessed via a 450 m hiking trail. Boats are prohibited on this lake.

Boat launch (ideal for power boats with a maximum size of 18 feet):

  • Southern sector: Route 263 boat launch, near the iron bridge. Small parking lot on-site. This private boat lauch is located outside the park. The park assumes no responsibility for its use by the visitors.
