Hikers and trekkers of all types and all mountain lovers are welcome to celebrate our magnificent Summits during the 9th edition of Summit Days from September 9th to October 9th. A variety of activities are accessible along the Summit Drive during five consecutive week-ends, for a wonderful colorful fall!
Explore the region when autumn colours are at their best, on foot, by bicycle, car or motorcycle! Program activities: favorite hiking trails, astronomy animation, open house days at Maison du Granit and in 2 national parks. Also, aerial adventure at d’Arbre en Arbre, Mountain and Music at Parc régional du Mont-Ham, hiking and home made Gelato at Piopolis and other surprises. Have your photo taken at one of the 9 Summit meeting Signpost and prove you reached the top!

September 9-10th weekend

Parc national du Mont-Mégantic
National Parks Day / September 9th 
Quebec National Parks Day is a perfect opportunity to discover the park free of charge!

Guided tour of Observatoire du Mont-Mégantic

National Parks Day / September 10th 
Go and explore walking, bicycling or canoeing and discover an oasis of water and hills! New:  You have a dog? A pilot project is in place, authorizing the presence of dogs in Parc national de Frontenac (Saint-Daniel area only). On leash, in places where they are authorised only, your companion will love it!

Sentiers du Mont Bélanger
Free access to hiking / September 10th 
Located close to St-Robert-Bellarmin, Mont-Bélanger summit rises at an altitude of near 920 metres, and is topped with an all new Summit meeting Guidepost. The region highest observation tower standing at 6 metres high (20 feet) awaits you after a short hike.

September 16-17th weekend 

Mont Gosford
Free access to hiking and pop corn snack / September 16-17th
Bring the whole family and even your dog to climb the highest summit in Southern Quebec, at 1,193 meters altitude! Have a picnic break at the summit, bring your lunch! Free popcorn will be available upon return at the Welcome Centre between 2 to 4:30 pm. Also to discover: a new walking trail and the Arnold river waterfall scenic look-out.

3D big dipper Astronomy Animation 
With Parc national du Mont-Mégantic facilitator/ September 16th
The 3D Big Dipper exhibit will be the topic of an interpretation activity with an astronomy questions session. This activity, held in collaboration with Parc national du Mont-Mégantic, will be an opportunity to discover a perspective experience of the Big Dipper constellation and to better understand distances and positions of stars in our galaxy. The activity will be cancelled in case of rain.

Open house and access to Sentier du Morne and trail running / Saturday September 16th
As part of Summit Days, Maison du Granit is opening its doors for a free public open house. Discover the story of granite while viewing a magnificent panorama at the interpretation centre. Access to Sentier du Morne trail (3 km). Also, don’t miss the chance to cheer on participants during the trail running activity.

September 23-24th weekend

Parc régional du Mont-Ham / Mountain and music
Show free for all and free access for 15 year olds and under / September 23th  
Parc régional du Mont-Ham is well-known for hiking trails, and a summit offering a spectacular view as well as a Summit meeting guidepost. This small isolated mountain rising from the earth in Eastern Townships is located right along the border of Chaudière-Appalaches and Centre-du-Québec regions. 

Over a rocky summit, you will discover a 360-degree view of magnificent hilly sceneries where forested and agricultural landscapes mingle. You will just fall in love with the sight! Also available is a disc golf course in a forest setting. You additionally enjoy a free music show on October 1st.

Star trails: L’intrépide going up and la Panoramique coming down

Marais Maskinongé
Free access to Marais Maskinongé trail and free snack / September 23-24th  
This short trail, fitted with 2 scenic lookouts, bridged walkways and a 24 feet high observation tower offers a privileged contact with the local flora and fauna along the Maskinongé River. Free snacks will be served on site. You can bring your dog on a leash.

Aerial adventure course and hot chocolate. Free access for 17 year olds and under /

Travel along tree tops in Lac-Megantic d’Arbre en Arbre Aerial Park!! 67 games for the whole family to share for an unforgettable experience. Free hot chocolate will be served at le Voilier restaurant to all skywalk adventure participants.  You can also try a network of 18 km hiking trails on site.

October 7-8th weekend

Free access to family hiking and home made Gelato / October 7-8th
As part of Summit Days, Piopolis invites you to discover the all new Scotch Cap walking trail, a family hike close to the village. You can even bring your dog on a leash. Take a selfie at the summit and bring your photo to the new Café de Pio in the village to get a free home made Gelato. 

Departure: Scotch Cap walking trail, road 263, towards Woburn. Look out for the sign by the road.
