Les Sentiers du Clocher de Piopolis
Sentiers du Clocher de Piopolis...a forest and riverside network in the heart of the municipality of Piopolis, accessible year round for all pleasures!

Wooden and marsh areas, trails are located in the bassin du Ruisseau Quirion and cross rich habitats, famous for great flora and fauna.
 
Trail includes:
-  La Boucle Poétique (A) : 850 m.
-  Le Chemin de l'Ancienne École (A) : 100 m.
-  Le Chemin de la Tour à Feu (S-A): 550 m.
-  Le Parcours rustique (S-A):  1100 m.
-  Le Chemin du Petit Marais (A) : 150 m.
 
Legend:
(A) : well maintained paths with gravel and boardwalks, accessible to everyone.
(S-A): mi-well maintained paths.  Intermediate level.  Good shoes and please stay alert.

An ideal activity to get in touch with nature, hiking may be practticed on some ten trails, which can often be combined into circuits, thus providing hours of adventure. More than 40 km of trails, 3,5 km of which have wooden footpaths

The park's mountainous terrain and diverse surroundings make it an ideal place for hiking. The 50 km of trails are for hikers of all levels and lead to spectacular vantage points at the summits of Mont-Mégantic (1,105 m) and Mont St-Joseph (1,065 m). 13 primitive camping platforms, 4 tent cabins having a maximum capacity of 6 persons and 4 huts having a maximum capacity of 8 persons available with reservation for backpack and nature lovers.

Trails: Des trois sommets (Easy-difficult): 14.9 km (5-8h) Mont St-Joseph (Difficult) : 3.2 km (1.5h) Mont St-Joseph - Mont Victoria (Easy - Intermediate): 2 km (40 min.) Mont Victoria - Chablis (Difficult): 2.1 km (45 min.) Chablis - Mont-Mégantic (Difficult): 2.4 km ( 1h15) Mont-Mégantic-Grande Ourse (Intermediate-difficult): 2.2 km (45 min.) Grande Ourse - accueil (Easy): 3 km ( 45 min.) Chablis - Grande Ourse (Easy-Intermediate): 2.3 km ( 30 min.) Mont-Mégantic-Andromède (Intermediate): 3.9 km (1,5h).

Access in summits: Mont-Mégantic: the road of the popular observatory is asphalted up to the summit. It is possible to go up in car on summer  before 11 am. In the afternoon, the ascents are made only with the shuttle of the parc and guided tours. On winter, the road is completely closed. Mountain St-Joseph: the road of the mountain St-Joseph who leads has the chapel is in asphalt at the beginning, then in little stone. It is accessible every day of the summer, between 9 am and 5 pm. On winter, the road is completely closed.

The pedestrian trails of the Sentiers Frontaliers (108 km) combines the National Park of Mont-Mégantic (on 1105 m.) in the territory of the mountain Gosford (1193 m.), via the Marble mountain (900 m) and the mountain Saddle (967 m), partially by taking the corridor of the canado-American border.

Several infrastructures meet themselves there, is platforms of camping, a tour of observation (mountain Gosford), shelters three faces (sector Gosford) and rustic camps (sector Gosford). Accessible for excursions of some hours until lasting days hikes ( 6-8 days). Inquire for the possible routes as well as for the accessibility during autumnal period (period of hunting), because certain private sectors are closed. Date opening: in the year except during the period of hunting.

A 1.6 km trail filled with scenic views, bridged sidewalks and an observation tower (24') offers you a special contact with flora and wildlife of the marsh.

Sentier du Morne

Morne's trail(2,4 km). For a short hike, two loops of 1.2 km are fitted out to reach at the top of Morne (820 m) where you will find a 360 degree panorama. Tower of observation and panels of interpretation. Sector of Lac-Drolet.

Pic's trail (0,5 km). Be allowed tempt by a short 0,5 km hike (round trip)in the heart of the forest of the maison du Granit. To maximise your hike, look for new stations of piece of information scattered throughout the trail. Sector of Lac-Drolet.

Sentier de la Rivière Felton

River Felton's trail (3 km fitted out along the banks of the river Felton. We find the presence of developments there such as rest areas, tables with picnic, dry toilet and panels of interpretation. This course is accessible via the road 108, halfway between the municipalities of Stornoway and Saint-Romain. It is also, a course was fitted out for fishing in the trout (necessary bookings).

Still underestimated, the territory of the mountain Gosford is a magnificent place of wild nature at some hours of road of the big centres. The Inhabited forest of Mount Gosford is the highest summit in Southern Quebec (1193 m). There are 35 km of trails, a pavillon at the foot of the mountain open to visitors all year round, rustic camping sites, 3 sided shelters, an observation tower that overlooks a breathtaking view of the area... and much more!!! Possibility of bringing your dog, etc.
Spring and summer activities: hiking (circuits of some hours in a dozen days), the cycle on forest roads (more than 35 km), the observation of the nature, the wilderness camping, the ornithology (sectors accommodating the thrush of Bicknell, the fishing in brooks, the MOUNTAIN BIKE on forest roads, etc.;

Autumn : All the previous activities safe during two weeks of hunting in the Canadian moose (the access to the territory is restricted to the only hunters for evident reasons of security.

Winter: snowshoeing, nordic skiing and ballads in harnesses of dogs.
