A 1.6 km trail filled with scenic views, bridged sidewalks and an observation tower (24') offers you a special contact with flora and wildlife of the marsh. This swampy zone lines the river Maskinongé and is very rich at the level of the winged fauna; you can observe among others the big blue heron, the waterfowl and the osprey. In the Gosford sector, it is possible to make some fine bird observations. One can see the Bicknell's thrush, one of the vulnerable species. While you are hiking, it is not unusual to meet animal. Among those who are observable we find the Canadian moose, the otter, the fisher, the beaver, the marten and the tit with brown head. You can hike in several marked trails on the territory of the ZEC. The most popular trail is the mont Gosford trail. The ascent of the mount ends with a splendid 360° view point from an observation tower.
